8/19/2006 7:02 PM Laci, this is Jamie, im one of the paramedics that picked you up saturday night. I never knew you until that night, but I can tell you were a beautiful person with ambition and have a wonderful family. Its so sad that some things have to happen to such awesome people. We are constantly seeing car accidents caused by drunk driving, and drug overdoses that teens bring upon themselves, but you did none of this. You were completely innocent. One thing is for sure though, you are in a better place now, no need to worry, you are watching over all of us. Your parents came by our station yesterday and sat and talked with us for awhile about that night. They gave us a pin to wear on our uniform that I will wear forever. They also gave us each a plant from the funeral that I will keep as long as I can. I know we see alot of bad things in our profession as paramedics, ive been doing this job for 3 years, and my partner 7 years and we have never had an incident affect us like this one has. I just want you to be assured that everything humanly possible was done to save your life that night, I was there behind the scenes with you up until you entered the operating room, if it could be done, it was done. Well Laci, with that said I guess I need to stop rambling and finish this comment, I just wanted to leave this to let you know that you will forever be in our memory, each and every time I put on that uniform and that green bracelet with your name on it. I just wanted to write and say how very sorry i am for your loss. I can only pray that god gets you through this. I know that it's hard to lose someone you love so much. It broke my heart when my grandpa died 2 years ago. I think about him all the time and wonder how he is... Then i say to myselfe he is Fine. He is in the most wonderful place of all. Don't worry about your loved one. Jesus will take very good care of nicole. My grandpa will take care of her too. He loves kids. My gramma and grandpa had/ has 2 grandkids and 46 great grandkids... not counting the 10 that don't have kids. God bless you and your loved one. Please do me a favor and visit my grandpa's site. I wish i know why God takes our loved ones and i sometimes wonder why he puts us through this. No Parent should ever have to bury there child. I am so sorry for your loss. God only takes the best though. You will see your loved one... one day and it will be FOREVER AND EVER. She will be waiting at heavens gates with her arms open wide.

God only knows how much you are hurting and how much you miss your sister. I am so sorry. I can't even imagan the pain you are going through. I have a sister... I would be so hurt and so crushed and heartbroken if anything happen to her. I know one day god will take my sister. God help me that... God helps us everyday.. Laci will always be there helping along the way and getting you all through this. They say it gets easyer... I don't think it does. You have memories and that you will forever hold dear and remember. You had a great and wonderful sister who loved you more then you will every know. She will always be with you and guide you through the rocky time. I wish i could take away the pain but i can't... I will promise you this... I will be praying for you all.. You will see that beautiful face again one day and it will be forever... Just have faith and trust.... trust in the lord..

It is so hard to believe that one year has passed. Time has stood still in so many ways. Other times it has flown by. Everyday it is so hard to imagine this is a real happening in all of our lives. I do know that you are our guardian angel now and that you watch over us and tap us on the shoulder sometime. I know this because I sometime smile for no reason and a thought or memory of you just comes to mind. PaPa and I had always hoped that we were creating such wonderful memories for all of you to share one day, little did we know that they would be our precious memories. Although your life was short lived, the memories always bring a smile to our face. You were truely a wonderful gift from God .
